Biogas and sustainable development of environment and economy

The role of biogas in controlling pollution from urban and rural lives, animal manure and urine, chemical fertilizer, pesticide, alleviating energy crisis and reducing pollution from non-renewable energy and enhancing agriculture benefit was summarized. The problems existed in biogas development were pointed out, for example, theory and technology were not studied systematically and deeply, supporting system of policy and management was not established. Countermeasures, such as making integrating research by combination of biogas with energy, environment, hygiene, industry, agriculture and other fields, perfecting mechanism of investment were put forward.
