Research advances and case analyses of typical domestic biogas digesters in China

By analyzing the importance of energy in developing national economy and its increasing shortages in reality, the essentiality of rural energy for country in the form of household biogas digesters was discussed. This article reviewed the history of biogas in China and the structures and functions of different types of biogas digesters in each phase. It recommends several kinds of new biogas digesters and introduces their functions and applicability. In the end, the development trend of domestic biogas digester is presented based on the deficiency of technology and management.
