Effect of eco-household project on enriching farmers and improving environment

The eco-household project(EHP) is founded on the idea of renewable energy resources. The objective of EHP is to transform the production and lifestyle of traditional rural households through the application of technologies and engineering that are carefully matched to different types of household. This paper introduces the concept of the eco-household, and the background conditions that motivated the development of this project. It discusses the different technologies and models of eco-households that have been set up in 86 demonstration village sites. Finally, the paper evaluates the results and experience from these demonstration sites and discusses potential problems and difficulties in the implementation of the EHP.
