Sustainable development of rural bio-gas in Shanxi Province

There had been many twists and turns in developing rural boi-gas in Shanxi province. Though considerable progress was made, there was still no sustainable development enviroment for rural boi-gas now. Productive materials for making bio-gas were hard up, at the same time wasted seriously. Farmers had no enough understandings on effects of bio-gas, so whose positivities were not extremely high. There was no scientific research institutions on reproducible energy, no specialties and courses on reproducible energy in colleges and vocational schools, and there were 45 percent of counties in Shanxi province had no extension frameworks. On policy aspect, there were no laws of renewable energy management and development utilization. Matched policies and measures were absent for government. Countermeasures should be adopted such as: 1) propagandizing powerfully to improve the realizations of leaders and farmers for importance of bio-gas development; 2) implementing the templets of bio-gas well to enhance all of that; 3) strengthening to train the groups of scientific research, education and technology extension; 4) formulating preferential policies to push steady development of bio-gas; 5) working out laws to ensure this enterprise; 6) promoting industrialization of bio-gas.
