Simulating sprinkler performance of two combined pop-up sprinklers

    • Based on water application profile for two pop-up sprinklers named PGP and R50 provided respectively by Hunter and Rainbird company, and in accordance with ASAE Standard S398.1. Sprinkler performance was simulated under square spacing and equilateral triangular spacing layout and different geometrical parameters in this paper. Results show, under the maximum application coverage of combined distribution, water application uniformity is mainly depended on sprinkler performance itself and has no obvious relation with sprinkler layout. Simulated under combined geometrical coefficient within a range of 0.9 and 1.4, water application uniformity was about 77.5%~95.1%. water application uniformity was closely related to water distribution uniformity and sprinkler lawn application efficiency. And their linear statistical regression formulas were presented.
