Advances in the application of computer-vision to plant growth monitoring

The paper presented the advances in the application of computer-vision to the monitoring plant growth areas such as the measuring of plants' exterior growing parameters, the detection of fruit maturity, the monitoring of plant nutrition and the shape description and identification for plants. The heuristic and intelligent color image processing techniques were considered to have promising applications in protected agriculture.
