Optimization of baicalin extracting technology in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi

    • In order to optimize the extracting technology of baicalin in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, the orthogonal experimental design was adopted in the extraction and the acid-deposition processes, Ultra-Violet spectroscopic method was employed to determine the content of baicalin. Results proved that the best extraction technology was A3 B3 C2, i.e. extraction time was 1.5 h, temperature was 100℃, pH value was 7.0; the best acid deposition technology was A′2 B′3 C′1 D′3, i.e. heat preservation time was 1.0 h, temperature was 80℃, pH value was 1.0, while placement time was 12 h. The optimized technologies mentioned above were feasible. The extraction rate was 91.56%, baicalin content was 94.12% using the technologies.
