    Zoning of water-saving irrigation in China using principal components analysis and fuzzy-C-means

    • In view of the characteristics of water-saving irrigation, a synthetic zoning method for water-saving irrigation and the zoning indicators are put forward, which integrate the advantages of both fuzzy clustering means and principal components analysis. The calculation is simplified by applying principal components analysis, for example, by processing the zoning indicators by means of reducing dimensions. Based on the analysis and calculation of the data from over 30 provinces (cities, districts) of China, applying fuzzy clustering means, the country is zoned for water-saving irrigation.
