Abstract
Based on the characteristic of working objects during harvesting in fruit and vegetable production, the development of harvesting robots at home and abroad was analyzed from the views of fruit recognizing and orientating, mature checking, manipulator designing and end-effector designing. In order to accelerate the application of harvesting robot to production, the three major problems, such as operating efficiency, size and utilization ratio, and their measures were put forward.
