Supercritical CO2 extraction of fragrant oil from pomelo flower

    • The article introduced the technology of supercritical CO2 extraction of fragrant ingredients from fresh flower of pomelo and analysis method by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS), putting emphasis on the effects of pressure, temperature and time on extraction ratio. The optimum technology parameters were investigated by using orthogonal design experiment. The factors influencing this extraction were obtained as follows: A>B>C (A: extraction pressure, B: extraction temperature, C: extraction time), the optimum extraction conditions were: extraction pressure 18 MPa, temperature 50℃, time 90 min and flux 25 L/min, the maximum ratio of extraction is up to 2.7‰. The fragrant oil was identified by GC-MS, thirty-nine components were separated and identified, which accounted for 91.281% of the total fragrant oil. The results provide scientific references for further development of flower of pomelo essence with great appending-value.
