    Uniformly designed experimental study on belt type cross-flow drying of carrot

    • The main parameters of the belt type cross-flow dryer were studied to dry carrot in the research experiment: air temperature, layer depth, cross-flow velocity and belt line velocity. It used the new method of experimental design method—uniform design. Its characteristic is less times of experiment, high reliable regress equation and improved predicting precision. During the experiment, the best parameters in the belt cross-flow dryer for carrot were achieved under the operating condition of hot air temperature 75℃, material depth 83 mm, cross-flow velocity 1.0 m/s and belt line velocity 500 mm/min.
