Experimental study on mechanical properties of peach seedling

    • In order to study the cutting system of seedling grafting robot and obtain its design data, the seedling test beds have been developed and re-compression and cutting experiments on peach grafting-seedling for sticking were carried out, which is being more often used in South China and its material quality is harder. On the basis of experiments, the experimental results show the limited load of anti-compression, the highest cutting resistance and the minimum cutting line-speed, and show that the diameter of seedling, rotation speed and angle of slide cutting respectively influence the cutting resistance in sequence. The relationship between diameter of seedling and cutting resistance is quadratic parabolic, the relationship between rotation speed and cutting resistance is linear and the relationship between angle of slide cutting and cutting resistance is also linear. In conclusion, the limited load of anti-compression is 20.35 N, the highest cutting resistance is 7.34 N and the minimum cutting line-speed is 0.312 m/s. The diameter of seedling greatly influences the cutting resistance and the rotation speed greatly influences the cutting-out rate.
