    Investigation and analysis of the building technology of low temperature germplasm genebanks of China

    • The low temperature germplasm genebank is seed storage facilities for plant germplasm conservation. From the aspect of building technology of several representative low temperature germplasm genebanks, the heat preservation technology and building construction technology, such as the material and thickness of insulation wall, the height of overhead layer and the anti-seismic design, the refrigeration and dehumidification technology, such as the control ways of unit, the refrigeration ways, the cold-producing medium and the dehumidification ways, the form of shelves depositing seeds and the drying equipment, were discussed in this article. The authors also put forward some related technologies and suggestions on acreage, height, wall, enclosing structure, the shelves depositing seeds and the drying condition, which should be considered in the construction of low temperature germplasm genebank.
