Abstract
Co-pyrolysis behavior of furfural residue and rice husk blends was investigated in a thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA) reaction system in a nitrogen atmosphere. The results show that the main pyrolysis temperature region can be separated into two distinct phases, which represents different pyrolysis mechanisms; Weight fraction of furfural residue or rice husk has influence on pyrolysis characteristics of the blends; Co-pyrolysis of biomasses was not simply additive of its individual contributions. During the main pyrolysis temperature region, a two-stage different reaction series pyrolysis kinetics model was developed which was fit for the intrinsic property of the blends and the kinetics parameters of activation energy and frequency factor were determined using Coats-Redfern analyses. At last this model was verified by Newton-coats numerical integral methods and the result indicated its reliability and practicability.
