Abstract
In order to improve the abradability of carbon steel, the argon-arc clad Ni60A alloy experiments were conducted and its application for cutter of agricultural machinery was discussed. The Ni60A coatings were prepared on the surface of Q235 steel specimens by preplacing and argon-arc cladding. The interface between the coatings and substrate and microstructure were observed using metallographic microscope model XJP-200. The hardness of the coatings was tested by hardometer model HD9-45. The wear-resisting property of the coatings was tested on abrasion tester model MPX-200. The microstructure, forming mechanism and wear mechanism of the argon-arc clad coatings were analyzed. The metallurgical analysis indicates that the claddings is made up of a lot of dendrite, the bond between substrate and coating is metallurgy binding. The anti-abrasive test results show the clad coating is good at anti-abrasion and the abrasive performance is better than 65Mn steel treated by quenching and tempering. The field test results show that the technology is feasible to the manufacture and remanufacture of the cutter of agricultural machinery, and the optimization technological parameter for argon-arc clad Ni60A anti-abrasion coatings is: electric current of 150A, voltage 10V, direct current and positive connection, overlapping and cladding, insulating and slow cooling.
