    New development of agricultural engineering in China

    • Chinese government aims to build a well-off society in an all-round way in the new century, and try to realize agricultural modernization, which brought about precious opportunities and new challenges for the development of agricultural engineering. The author discussed the development, main problems, and the future development priorities of the agricultural engineering in its all seven aspects, i.e., agricultural mechanization engineering, agricultural biological and environmental engineering, rural energy and environmental protection projects, the engineering of agricultural processing, agricultural information engineering, agricultural water and soil conservation engineering, and land use engineering. The author believes that as the development of agricultural engineering in its all aspects, it will play a more and more important role in building a well-off society of China and sustainable development of Chinese agriculture.
