Demonstrational study on the land consolidation and rehabilitation(LCR) project of saline-alkali soil in arid areas: a case study of Lubotan LCR project in Pucheng county, Shaanxi Province

Salinization not only decreases the productivity of cultivated land, but also seriously restricts its sustainable use, which directly affects the sustainable development of agriculture. A new thought of saline-alkali land amelioration is put forward. That is combining LCR with saline-alkali land amelioration so as to improve the productivity of saline-alkali land. Taking Lubotan LCR project in Pucheng county, Shaanxi Province as an example, from the engineering aspect of LCR, the saline-alkali land improvement and rehabilitation were studied.
