Comparative studies on the effect of NaCl stress on Cucurbita ficifolia and Cucurbita pepo seed germination

This paper deals with the comparative studies of germination rate, germination viability, germination index, vigor index of Cucurbita ficifolia and Cucurbita pepo seed streated by different NaCl stresses. The results indicate that Cucurbita ficifolia seed germination has stronger adaptability to saline water habitat than Cucurbita pepo, and that the suitabilities of NaCl stress to seed germination are 50.66 mmol/L for Cucurbita ficifolia and 43.98 mmol/L for Cucurbita pepo respectively.
