Research and application of disinfection techniques of nutrient solution in soilless culture

In the world soilless culture system is changing from open system in order to closed system in order to reduce the pollution of draining nutrient solution in the environment. However, the risk of spreading root pathogens in closed system dramatically increased. Research and application of disinfection techniques have been developing quickly. The principles, processes, costs and effects of different disinfection techniques were summarized, especially a new method of slow sand filtration was introduced.
