Present situation and development prospect of protected cultivation in Hainan Province

In Hainan province, protected cultivation applied in farm production was started in the 1990s. Few species and varieties are grown under the condition of horticulture facilities, and the area of horticulture facilities is small. By analyzing several conditions, Hainan province needs to make best use of peculiar tropical climate, and develop the technology of whole protected cultivation. To develop protected cultivation is an important strategy of Hainan tropical agriculture.
