    Application of remote sensing technique for land use changes and soil salinization in agricultural area of oasis

    • Based on the MSS and TM images of four periods from 1972 to 2001, land use in Aibi Lake, Xinjiang was gained and the dynamic changes of land use were analyzed by the methods of land use transition matrixes and land use change exponent. A method of spectral angle mapping based on spectral analysis was performed to extract information of land salinization with ASTER and SPOT images in 2004. The thematic map of land salinization extent was integrated with data of land use changes to evaluate the influence of land salinization to farmland. The results show that the change of farmland is most obvious during 30 years. And the reclamation of waste land is influenced by land salinization.
