Expert system for mini-watermelon culture management in greenhouse based on the growth model

By cornbining the followed greenhouse watermelon growth model and AIP1.0 expert system platform, the expert system for mini-watermelon culture management in greenhouse based on the growth model was developed, which is composed of a knowledge base(KB), a model base(MB), a datebase(DB), an inference engine(IE) and user interface. The system was designed to help agronomists and farmers to make strategic and tactical decisions, to dynamically regulate the growth of greenhouse watermelon, and to answer the management questions in greenhouse watermelon production. It combines the prediction function of the model with logic inference function of the expert system, therefore, the management of greenhouse watermelon is improved.
