    Performance characteristics of fluidic sprinkler controlled by clearance and comparison with impact sprinkler

    • A new kind of sprinkler——fluidic sprinkler controlled by outlet clearance was developed, and its structure and working principle were introduced. The hydraulic performances of two kinds of PX10 fluidic sprinklers and a kind of PY210 impact sprinkler were compared and analyzed by test research for the first time. Results show that the flow rate of fluidic sprinkler is about 8% more than that of impact sprinkler tested, while sprinkler pattern radius obviously increases, almost by 31%. The uniformity of water distribution is nearly the same as that of impact sprinkler tested, while end raindrop diameter is smaller. Because of the unique fluidic element and reversing mechanism, the fluidic sprinkler has a simple structure, a perfect hydraulic performance and a low price with obvious power-saving effect and favorable market future.
