Abstract
Land-use spatial pattern and its change are important indicators for sustainable land resources using. This paper described a neighborhood-based method for land-use spatial pattern analysis. With the method, the enrichment or exclusion of spatial distribution between each land-use type, as well their development trends were analyzed quantitatively. Taking as Haidian District, Beijing the case, the results show that spatial pattern between each land-use type and their change trends can be analyzed with the defined neighborhood indicators. The define indicators can be of helpful complementarities to the traditional landscape indicators, and can provide important information for land-use simulation models.
