Design and implementation of Web-based teleconsultation system for fish disease diagnosis

    • Teleconsultation is a brand new medical procedure which evolves from Internet. Specialists sometimes encounter problems of fish disease diagnosis. The authors present a teleconsultation system that provides fish disease experts from different locations a means to interact, interchange idea and share information. This system employed the B/S(Browser/Server) mode and used Microsoft NetMeeting for data communication. Results from preliminary system testing in Tianjin demonstration area were promising. It indicated the implementation of this proposed teleconsultation to assist fish disease diagnosis is feasible.
