Human simulated intelligent controller for continuous-flow grain dryer

    • Classical and modern control methods based on precise mathematic model are not suitable for grain drying process with multi-variables, long delay and non-linearity. In order to enhance the grain drying quality, a new human-simulated intelligent control system for continuous-flow dryers was introduced according to the characteristics of continuous-flow grain drying. The controller included the running level and the parameter adjustment level, and was able to control the output grain moisture content. Simulation tests with MATLAB on a dryer show that the controller performed well with fast response, less overshoot and strong adaptability for the change of pure delay time compared with classical PID. It can lay a foundation for the application of control system.
