Ethanol extraction technology of naringin from grapefruit peel

Abstract
The ethanol extraction of naringin from grapefruit peel were carried out. On the basis of single-factor experiments, the orthogonal experiment was used in the optimization of technological parameters. Results show that the optimum conditions are as follows: the ratio of solution to material is 25∶1(v/w), time is 90 min, temperature is 60℃ and ethanol concentration is 50%. By the above conditions, the naringin extraction rate is 91.784%.
