Progress in bio-fuel combustion in circulating fluidized bed boiler

    • With the increase of bio-wastes and higher requirements forenvironmental protection, circulating fluidized bed(CFB) combusting technology isplaying a more and more important role in recycling and reusing bio-wastes. The present status of bio-wastes(woodcraft wastes, agricultural wastes and hydrophytes) combustion using CFB technology is reviewed. Research of these biomass fuels such as waste wood, straw, rice-straw, fruit stone, olive cake, sugarcane residue and sunflower stem combusting in CFB boilers are particularly introduced. The existing problems and orientations are pointed out for further study.
