Consideration on development of stockbreeding in Henan Province,china

Henan Province is an important province for agriculture and stockbreeding. The development of stockbreeding is rapid and sustainable, which played an important role in the economic development of Henan Province. Meanwhile, there are many problems in the development of its stockbreeding. This paper summarized the general situation of the development of stockbreeding in Henan Province. Advantage and existent problems of development of stockbreeding in Henan Province were also analyzed. The main problems are the contradiction between resources and market, pressures on reducing costs and improving quality, threatening from natural disaster, quality safety of livestock product, bad environment of stockbreeding, high incidence of diseases from livestock, infection of diseases for human beings from livestock due to mixing inhabitation of human beings and livestock in rural areas. Intensive breeding, production in standardization and demonstration by key enterprises were considered as essential measures to accelerate transformation of manner for animal husbandry production in Henan Province.
