Construction and realization of organic milk source base

Milk source production is the first step,and also one of the most importont steps to develop organic milk industry.Construction organic milk source base can guarantee the normal production of milk source,which enhance the development of organic milk.Organic milk and organic milk production is developing as a main-steam of milk consumption in developed countries. They have enormous potential market. Although the “Standard of OFDC Organic Certification” has been carried out in China, the organic milk production does not start yet. Higher quality milk is needed to meet the increased requirement. Based on the requirements of “Standard of OFDC Organic Certification” and several years experience on milk base construction, the authors firstly indicated the conception of organic milk source base in China. Regarding this topic, three aspects are analyzed and discussed in this paper: livestock facilities construction, environment control (e.g, disinfection and insulation, treatment of sewage and wastewater etc.) and breeding techniques(e.g,breed selection,feed nutrition,and disease control etc.). Some problems and methods are mentioned to ensure the health and efficient development of dairy industry. Meantime, this topic puts forward the “health raising” model which can offer some feasible methods to suit the situation of our country and contribute to organic milk source construction, to meet the sustainable development of dairy industry and high-quality organic milk production.
