Abstract
Using different technologies of winter heating and summer cooling system can obtain different environmental conditions. Is this paper the research had separately carried out in the experimental barns (including farrowing barn and weaning barn) which were heated by heated air furnace and cooled by evaporative pad and fan system, and in the contrast barns which were heated by stove and cooled by natural ventilation. The experiment results indicated that the environmental conditions of experimental barns were obviously better than than of the contrast barns. In experimental barns, the average survival rate of the suckling pigs reached 96.37% in winter and 95.36% in summer, which were 4.28 and 6.97 percentage higher, respectively, than that of the contrast barns. And in experimental barns, the average survival rate of weaning pigs in winter reached 98.09% and the average daily gain reached 0.409 kg/day per pig, which were 5.27% and 30.67% higher, respectively, than the contrast barns; While the feed/meat ratio was 1.472∶1, which was 13.25% lower. In summer, evaporative pad and fan system had no obvious influence on pig's production performance in weaning barn.
