Dust spatial distribution and emission ein loose-rearing pullets house

    • Excessive dust concentration in chicken house is hazardous for worker health and poultry productivity, and also harmful to the environment. To understand dust spatial distribution is helpful to analyze the emission and transmission of dust, and helpful to develop more effective dust control method.A multi-point sampler was used to measure the dust distribution and emission within a loose-rearing pullets house. The sampling points were evenly distributed in a transverse section three meters near the fans. Temperature, relative humidity and wind velocity were recorded. Results show that animal activity is a main factor affects dust spatial distribution in daytime. Wind velocity of every sampling point doesn't have significant correlation with the dust concentration of every sampling point.
