Treating animal farm wastewater by functional constructed wetlands

As environmental pollution caused by animal farm wastewater is becoming worse, it is more important to seek an economical and practical way to treat animal farm wastewater, and the wetland technology is attracting more attentions. This paper reviews the mechanism, construction parameter, function and management of the wetlands constructed in recent years. From ecosystem scale, the construction of the functional wetland and its perspective for treating multiplex contaminations are also analyzed in this article. It is expected that more concern should be attracted and more substantial development should be achieved on the technology of animal farm wastewater treatment by the functional wetlands, in order to do more contribution on the implement of cleaning production of animals.
