Abstract
A model of steady flow test bench was established by Pro-E, which was combined of intake port, valve and cylinder. The flow was numerically simulated by CFD software. The anticipated aim is to make the actual repeated amendment in steady flow test bench of intake port model taken place by the numerical one. Based on the principle of momentum conservation, the rotation speeds of two anemoscopes(AVL & Ricardo anemoscopes) were computed. The swirl ratios calculated from the computed rotation speeds show that Ricardo swirl ratio is higher than AVL swirl ratio. To validate the accuracy of the simulation results of numerical steady flow test bench, experiments in a steady flow test bench with the Ricardo anemoscope were taken. The compared results between computations and experiments suggest that the former is reliable. The flow fields in the system provide academic basis for its improvement.
