Intelligent control rule for tractor with continuously variable transmission

    • Because optimum fuel economy and dynamic performance control rules only reflect the working state, their applications were limited in current tractors. To solve this problem, in this paper, an intelligent control rule based on fuzzy inference of driver intention was proposed, which was aimed at tractor dynamic performance at transient operating conditions and fuel economy under steady operating conditions, and the smooth transition from transient dynamic state to steady fuel economy state can be realized by this control rule. The simulation results show that the intelligent control rule enables tractor to reach the optimum comprehensive performance. The research results above provide a new design method for developing an intelligent tractor with continuously variable transmission.
