    Review of postharvest treatment and preservation technologies of fruit and vegetable

    • This article discusses non-destructive methods for testing fruit quality, mechanizing and automatic technologies for fruit classification. At the same time, fruit and vegetable modern storing equipments are introduced. After that, it reviews the developments of storing and freshening technologies for fruit and vegetable in recent years, including the application of natural fresh-keeping, regulating air pressure storage method, ozone and negative oxygen refreshing technology, biotechnology for storage, low dose radiation treatment and air conditioned fresh keeping technology of structurizing intracellular water. Moreover, this paper proposes that the persistent development of fruit and vegetable storage industry should depend on innovation of science and technology.
