Variable fuzzy sets methods and application on land suitability evaluation

    • Land suitability evaluation is a multi-grade and multi-index fuzzy evaluation problem. The fuzzy characteristic should be presented in evaluation. Variable fuzzy sets methods are based on variable fuzzy sets theory. Through variability of model parameters, the reliability of evaluation could be enhanced. The agricultural land suitability grade of Changle City was evaluated based on the method theory. Results show that the agricultural land suitability grade of Changle City is between medially suitable and highly suitable with tend to medially suitable slightly. Variable fuzzy sets methods are suitable for land suitability evaluation.
