Rationality of farmland occupation by constructions based on decoupling analysis method

    • In China, the overwhelming emphasis on farmland protection existing in land policies can not held back the fast farmland decreases. So the central government has turned to make frugal and intensive use of farmland when it arranges land for construction purposes instead of merely controlling the total quantity of farmland. Then to study whether the farmland devoted to construction use is rational or not is an important and urgent thing. In this paper, three indices are introduced to evaluate the rationality of farmland loss due to economy development, and they have been tested by the data of China. The results show that combination of them can be competent for the above job on the whole.
