Abstract
The spatial variability of soil magnetic susceptibility and magnetic domain under different water qualities at Taihang piedmont was investigated based on geostatistics methods and GIS technique. Results show that soil magnetic susceptibility is normal distribution, existing spatial correlation in certain range. Semi-variance experimental models are fitted to spherical and moderate spatial variability. The correlation distance of soil magnetic susceptibility range from 5.14 km to 10.08 km. The spatial distribution maps of magnetic susceptibility show obvious difference between sewage and clean irrigation water. The most variance comes out from east to west and from northwest to southeast. The magnetic properties in study area are controlled by the presence of super-paramagnetic grains.
