Abstract
Soil environment influences kernel quality of winter wheat. In order to research the effects of minimum tillage and no-tillage patterns on kernel quality of winter wheat, five tillage patterns were adopted in Longkou city, Shandong Province, for three years. The five tillage patterns were as follows: conventional tillage with no straw turnover(CN), conventional tillage with straw turnover(CS), rotary tillage with straw turnover(RS), serrated disk harrow tillage with straw turnover(HS), no-tillage with straw cover(NC). The kernel protein quality, flour farimograph index, strarch pasting characteristics were investigated. Results show that minimum tillage patterns especially RS could improve kernel protein quality and flour processing quality, NC could improve noodle cooking quality. Soil tillage changes the soil environment. But the effect of long-term soil tillage on kernel quality of winter wheat needs further research.
