Abstract
In this paper, the authors discussed the technologies for semiautomatic cartography integration rapidly, acquired the key parameters and coefficients, established the indexes of the map unit between different scale maps, kept grade consistency of different scale maps. In these processing, the most important technology is to realize the corresponding relationship between different map units from different maps. The EucAllocation method which differs from the Euclidean distance method is introduced and expatiated in detail. Euclidean distance is calculated from the center of the source cells to the center of each of the surrounding cells. True Euclidean distance was calculated to each cell in the distance functions. The shortest distance to a source was determined and if it was less than the specified maximum distance, the value was assigned to the cell location on the output raster. The EucAllocation raster records for each cell with the identity of the closest source cell. A source is any cell or set of cells with the same value or belonging to the same zone. If a zone is disconnected, the value assigned to the cells allocated to that zone is the distance of the closest region of the zone. These methods were used in the case for Guangdong Province and a perfect result was obtained. These methods can improve the ability and efficiency to deal with the classification map synthetically, find the relationship between the map units of different scales and make the grade consistent between the maps of different scales.
