    Irrigation decision-making system based on the fuzzy-control theory and virtual instrument

    • Water saving irrigation is affected by multiple factors, and it is difficult to develop a precision control model. A fuzzy irrigation decision-making system was established by using virtual instrumentation platform. The system consists of sensors, test instruments, data logger board and LabVIEW software. The soil water potential and crop evaporation were taken as input variables, and the Fuzzy Logic Control Toolkit was adopted to design fuzzy controller and establish multiple-factor control regular database to make fuzzy decision for the crop water saving irrigation. The test results show that the system has friendly interface and is easy to use; it can give comprehensive judgement and decision-making, and can provide scientific basis for water saving irrigation.
