Data mining technology for crop identification using remote sensing

It can effectively solve the bottleneck problem in crop identification using remote sensing at present. In this paper, the application of data mining technology in data classification, in the process of crop identification using remote sensing was reviewed. The main problems discussed included the merits, shortages and application fields and conditions of these methods. Many kinds of data mining technologies have been used in remote sensing data classification in recent years. And, the problems of present crop identification system of crop monitoring using remote sensing were analyzed. The future developing trends in the study of remote sensing image classification were dealt with at the end of this paper.
