Absorption of polyphenols from apple pomace by macroporous absorbent resins

Abstract
Static absorption and desorption experiments were carried out to screen the suitable resin from 8 types of macroporous absorbent resin for apple polyphends. Results indicate that macroporous resin NKA-9 possesse the strongest absorbend ability and easier desorption property, which is a better candidate for purificating polyphenols in apple pomace. Through single factor experiments, the optimum absorption conditions of macroporous resin NKA-9 are concentration of feed 2.5 mg/mL, pH value 4.5, feeding rate 1.0 mL/min. And the the optimum desorption conditions are elute-ethanol concentration 60%, elution rate 1.0 mL/min, elute volume 10 BV.
