Progress in application of near infrared spectroscopy technology in agriculture

    • The near infrared spectroscopy analysis is a kind of indirect measurement technology. By using stoichiometry method, correcting model was developed to analyze unknown samples in quantity or nature, and has been widely used in many fields. In this paper, its analysis steps, technology characteristic and the application progress were discussed in agricultural fields in China, including agricultural product quality analysis, food analysis, feed industry analysis, soil analysis, on-line fast analysis of agricultural products. Furthermore, it was concluded that there were main problems and solutions while it was employed in the field of agriculture in China. Finally, it was pointed out that the development of NIRS instrument, further exploration of stoichiometry and model optimization would be popular in NIRS research fields in the future.
