Principle and equipment of negative pressure irrigation

Based on principle of soil water dynamics, a new irrigation technique namely negative pressure irrigation was developed. The negative pressure irrigation system was composed of negative pressure control device, gas collection device and water supply discs. The principle and current status of negative pressure irrigation were introduced in this paper. Combined the principle construction diagram with physical diagram of negative pressure irrigation system, the key technology, working principle and function of the negative pressure irrigation system were analyzed. With simple negative pressure control device and gas collection device, the irrigation system supplies irrigation water to crop roots through water supply discs. Based on analysis and summary in this paper, basic frame of negative pressure irrigation techniques is obtained. The researches provide basic guidelines for further study and extension of negative pressure irrigation technique.
