Abstract
The basecutter of minitype sugarcane harvester must have the characteristics of lower cutting power consumption and sugarcane cutting loss. Through generally and orthogonally experimental studies, the experimental investigations of single factor and multi-factors on the sugarcane cutting parameters which influence the two evaluation indexes were carried out to meet requirements. Hence, the primary and secondary sequences of the sugarcane cutting parameters were obtained, i.e. the rotating speed of knife disc, the declining angle of knife disc and the slippage angle of blade. The mathematical models for the two evaluation indexes were constructed by using orthogonal multinomial regression analysis method to deal with the experimental data. The mathematical models were employed to optimize the sugarcane cutting parameters. The optimal sugarcane cutting parameters with minimum cutting power consumption and sugarcane cutting loss were worked out, namely, the rotating speed of knife disc equals to 685 r/min, the declining angle of knife disc equals to 9° and the slippage angle of blade equals to 26°. The results provide some foundations for design of basecutter for minitype sugarcane harvester.
