Development of variable rate fertilizer applicator based on GPRS

A new system of variable rate fertilizer applicator based on GPRS was developed. The structure of the system and working process were introduced in this paper. A remote communication controller based on GPRS was developed for transferring prescription and monitoring. Experimental results in the field prove that the variable rate fertilizer applicator meets the demand of variable rate fertilization for precision agriculture.
