New detection technology and application status of stored-grain insects

The detection of insects is always investigated for stored grain. The correct insect species identification provides the necessary basis for insect prevention and control. In this paper, several new detection technologies are analyzed, such as acoustic method, near-infrared spectroscopy, X-ray imaging, electrical conductance, microwave radar detection, image recognition method and electronic nose. The developing trends and future prospects are also addressed, which provides a new thought for the detection of stored-grain insects.
