  • The traceability system is regarded by all countries in the world as an effective method to ensure quality safety of farm products. In this study, a safe production and quality traceability system was established to implement quality tracing for primary vegetable products. The structure of each system was expatiated, the routines for realization of primary functions were designed, and the key technologies were discussed. Based on .net framework, the system was implemented with the technologies of database, network, encoding and pre-warning. The system realized the function of production management, production pre-warning, statistical comparison, bar code printing, short messages communication, quality feedback, health guidance for consumers and so on. Traceability system tests in enterprises in Beijing were promising and satisfying.The level of production management was improved and the sensitivity of consumers to food safety was enhanced after adoption of the traceability system. A mode for production management and quality traceability from primary vegetable production to consumers was provided in the paper. This study lays a basis for realization of quality traceability of the whole process from farm production to consumer tables.
